I might not be the first to say it, but Dark Matter is critical in determining whether Gigaton was an outlier or if the band hit a creative low point in the Obama years. Come to think of it, if this album is not up to their standards, can we blame Biden for all of it?

I'm leaving the internet out and buying it local in person with cash when it's out.

Stone won't be able to track me down.

Things have changed so much on the vinyl landscape. But I still can't risk not grabbing a copy. I have everything else they've released on vinyl. So... I had to do it.

Almost 2 weeks since the first single. When can we expect something new, like maybe a snippet of another song or a second single?

I have a love-hate relationship with the pre-album release period. I love the fact that I'll have new music from my favourite band, but I hate the fact that I have to wait.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

Hell, I'll even take an album/song review of some of the other tracks from someone who attended the listening party.

Formula these days is usually one single each month for the two months prior, and then a third single the week before or week of.
We'll get some Petty Jam in March.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Yes - this is the "schedule", if you will.

Surprised we haven't seen more press, however. Maybe it's just....around the bend.

Was thinking the same. Hopefully it'll ramp up to coincide with single #2

They've gotta make it a father-daughter record-buying day.

We actually have a little road trip planned, departing the morning of April 19th. Obviously I'll stay up and squeeze in two or three listens beginning at midnight, but I'm sure my wife won't be doing same for Taylor's release. Could get tense once we hit the road, but I know my five-year-old will be partial to Pearl Jam.

Hahaha - that’s awesome. My oldest was born in 08.

He loves PJ (#brainwashed) specifically BS’er due to the timing. It’s always interesting to hear his take at a given age. He’s lukewarm on DM.

Provided we actually have to wait until the 19th (I have zero willpower if we get a high quality leak and have already ordered the 10c vinyl so, listen away I will)...

I'll be coming off paternity leave and hopefully getting a little more sleep each night. Will no doubt be a memorable time for me and with warmer weather and longer days to boot, I'm hoping to eventually say that DM ushered in a summer of RAWWWKKKKKKKK capped off by my 40th at Wrigley on 8/31.

It can't be worse than LB right???? (crosses fingers).

My younger daughter was born shortly after lightning bolt, and future days was a really good lullaby. My older daughter had Dream a Little Dream from uke songs, which was easy to sing but too short, so I supplemented with Tell Me by Tom Waits, an incredible song
