I hate that pause in insignificance. It goes on for too long and I'm not sure what it's adding to the experience. But i've also never liked Insignificance live - it's never captured the atmosphere of the studio versionVinylGuy wrote:yeah, and You Are. Re: Dark Matter (song)
yeah, maybe the suffocating vibe from the studio has not been matched but there are very good performances of that song in 00 and 06 i would say.
and the live pause is pretty cool to me, how they pick up exactly in that moment and hammer it down in a very tight and precise way.

Re: Dark Matter (song)
no fadeout, but I think the squeezed intro / outro annoyed me probably more at first

Bears repeating, I wish PJ would do a Live at KEXP session for this one.
Also, BizarroTrag is as entertaining as regular Trag (I'm a fan).

Babyface Trag, while entertaining in its own right, hasn't been an entirely successful creative decision on your part, in my humble opinion.tragabigzanda wrote:I’ve got two more genuine compliments earmarked for the dayMonkey_Driven wrote:I'm excited to see how far you can take thistragabigzanda wrote:From a compositional standpoint, they have done a good job opening the song at a fairly high energy and then upping the ante as the song progresses.
Will you be turning heel again tomorrow?
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…
