DM thread has passed the poop thread!
let's convince the mods to merge them.
No shortage of content in both, I agree. I think they'd blend well together.

If merged, I promise to listen to DM on my phone while on the toilet and write a review of both actions.

I've been in a meeting all day and saw people laughing at this. I was trying to guess what the song was. I finally got the chance to listen.

1. I was wrong
2. I legit laughed out loud for most of it

if Pearl Jam really want to "bring back the intensity" of their old stuff, they need to be making songs that are long enough to build and travel places; part of that is including the great intros they used to have: Alive, Jeremy, Black... you name it, they used to take great care to write intros that grabbed the attention right away but didn't show the song's whole hand immediately

I agree. I miss the longer songs that build to something. I guess there have been a few recently? But it does seem to be less prevalent

yeah, Gigaton had some, but Dark Matter would be much stronger with extended bookends

I'm all for bringing back the heavy, but I want some inviting intros pls

yeah, they have late-career examples, but I wouldn't describe Inside Job as heavy or intense
