i saw this woman holding the corpses of her babies last night on the news. I truly believe Israel is targeting woman/children specifically to wipe out a new generation and ensuring a limited amount of Palestinian children can be born.

After 10 years of trying, a Palestinian woman had twins. An Israeli strike killed them both

That’s a bit much, Stickman. I think the simplest answer is the right one - 10/7 was the type of event people always feared, because we knew the responsive would be massive, and with rage. It seems indiscriminate, which seems like a war crime itself, but you’re suggesting a a pretty dark conspiracy that got its “green light.” You really don’t need to complicate it much further than “terrified and powerful nation has moved quite a bit to the right and is led by Netanyahu.” That explains what we see.

Israel has ‘killed 25,000 Palestinian women and children’ since October attacks

You think its a fluke that out of the 30,000 murdered Palestinians, 25,000 were women and kids?
They've purposely targeted family homes with bombs, with zero justification. Hell, they bombed a refugee camp! To me, their plan is clear.

I don’t think it’s a fluke, no, but in line with what I said earlier - an indiscriminate, full force response in a densely populated area is going to kill the most vulnerable. This is why those rules are established in the first place. How do you even select for women and children in the gps system, or know who is where, when it’s all rubble and people are scattered and huddled together?

If the conspiracy was to just destroy the place so there wouldn’t be much left, and Palestinians were basically forced to disperse elsewhere, probably scattered across a few places, so that Israel would some day rebuild these areas as part of their new land… that one has some plausibility, I think.

I think it's an obvious lie by Hamas designed to elicit this exact response.

“Israel destroyed its international support and global goodwill by falling directly into Hamas’s carefully laid (yet obvious) trap, which was designed to make them behave in an inhumane manner” is not, I think, a particularly strong defense of Israel.

Oh I dunno, tell them they're going to bomb an area and to move to a safe area. Then tell them to go another "safe" area and bomb where they just were...I think the term is "herding"

Let he who hasn't attempted to free hostages by killing them to get at the kidnappers cast the first stone.
Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?

Netenyahu had been funding Hamas for the last decade or so just for this moment.

And now he’s gone beyond the moment and carries it out and drags it out so as to avoid hos own personal legal and political troubles and they are many. Very many.

This is a genocide on one man’s order and an entire country and people and almost the whole western world jumped in the help him.

I stated that global terrorist groups use propaganda to influence foreign opinion, nothing about defending Israel. You demean yourself with this kind of response McP.

Perhaps it’s the best of the bad ideas. I don’t know. All Palestinians ever do is suffer, and no one does anything. If the risks are from terrorist cells, well, America has a pretty good amount of experience with this. Could lead to good things.

Or, didn’t we always know WW3 would begin in the holy land?

The Palestinians receive more foreign aid per capita than any other group in the world.

Why were the boxes for so many nations unchecked in the settings?

Here’s Palestine compared to Montserrat, from the same chart/data.

Maybe they were counting nations that have populations larger than a Brooklyn high school McP.

But I will concede you are correct that the 4390 people on that British territorial island do receive more aid (almost entirely from the British government) than other countries

I’m not drawing population comparisons. I’m observing that the sentence “the Palestinians receive more foreign aid per capita than any other group in the world” isn’t true if, say, the 200,000 people of Samoa receive more aid per capita (they do)…or if the 700,000 people of the Solomon Islands do as well (yes)…and that the selectivity of the graph misrepresents the accuracy of the statement.

I’m not arguing your broader point, which I understand to be “Rob is incorrect when he says no one does anything.”

Fair point, you’re right and I’m wrong.
