Will do Doug.
Last week I watched Fort Apache with my parents. We all really enjoyed it (my mom had seen it before)

Definitely John Wayne, but she likes Henry Fonda well enough. I'm not sure how she feels about Shirley Temple. I'll have to ask her.doug rr wrote:is your mom more of a John Wayne or Henry Fonda fan?tommy wrote:Will do Doug.

Usually with movies I hate I can understand why people like them but the Poor Things love totally vexes me. I think it fails at every level, and this is coming from a huge fan of the director

David Byrne's American Utopia is a real treat. More of a concert/theatre performance, than a movie though.

I got to see it live not long before the shutdown. I haven't seen the movie but I imagine it loses a bit in translation.Anders wrote:David Byrne's American Utopia is a real treat. More of a concert/theatre performance, than a movie though.

Didn't think Poor Things worked, but probably not worth hating. At least until it wins.
