Official lyrics:

I got an unfortunate feeling
I been beaten down
I feel that I'm done believing
Now the truth is coming out

What they're taking is
More than a vow
They're taking young innocents
And then they throw em on a burning pile
Ah ah ay ay

And all along they're saying
"Mind your manners!"

I caught myself believing
That I needed God
And if it's out there somewhere
We sure could use hymn now

Try my patience!
My patience tried
This world's a long love letter
That makes me want to cry
Ah ah ay ay

And all along they're saying
"Mind your manners!"
That's all they're saying

Self-realized and metaphysically redeemed
May not live another life
May not solve our mystery

Right round the corner
Could be bigger than ourselves
We could will it to the sky
Or we could something else

And all along they're saying
"Mind your manners!"
Always praying

Go to heaven
That's swell
How you like your living in Hell?

Go to Heaven
That's swell
How you like your living Hell?

I don't object.
I was painting with headphones on listening to LB but somehow MYM started looping. Had to listen to 4 times before I got cleaned up enough to take my headphones off. It was kinda awful after the 2nd time.

I would think a few of these would sound awful if you were covered in paint and had no choice but to listen to them.

like when you're eating ribs and your hands are all sticky and your head itches and you cant scratch it because of the bbq sauce. Most songs would piss me off under those circumstances.

I bet under pressure would be fine, though

McParadigm wrote:Still top 20 at Active and Mainstream. It got a thousand spins last week (Sirens, still on its way up, managed 2,000, for comparison). I'd guess it'll get another three thousand on its way out the door. That would leave things looking something like this for the post-Riot Act phase:

Just Breathe: 55-60,000 (I forget exactly offhand)
Fixer: 50,000
Mind Your Manners: 38,000
WWS: 34,000

Everything else: less than 20,000 (unless I'm forgetting something)
Just out of curiosity-- do you have single numbers for Yield, Binaural, and Riot Act? I'm guessing JB, Fixer, and MYM best everything except for maybe GTF.

Knowing MFS was next made it even worse.

Great scene!

Sirens seems to be pretty huge based on the rock chart from Itunes. Another thing i see there is..Future Days.

Please do not release that one as a third single.

Damn straight, brother. I really hope this doesn't become one of those songs that get overdone at weddings.

I think I'd leave a wedding if they played Future Days. An old girlfriend of mine took me to a wedding once where Just Breathe was the first song the couple danced to. I felt so bad for them.

One of my mates had Hard Sun played at his wedding. I thought that was OK.

I once went to a wedding where their first dance was to Whale Song. It was really romantic.

Ok, so maybe that didn't happen.

Hard Sun is probably my second favorite song released by a member of Pearl Jam in any capacity post-2004, so I'm down with that. Pretty excellent choice.

I know, right?

Josh Homme, raging homophobe.
