Original pre-release Vitalogy
Saw the Dave A interview today, and found quite fascinating his comments on the Vitalogy he was part of making.
Does anyone know more on this original version (demo?) of Vitalogy?

Was HtI included?tragabigzanda wrote:There were tapes included in the “Cockage tapes” that are not at all interesting. The running time for Spin the Black Circle on this tape is notably longer (3 min 14) here than on the final record (2 min 48).Anders wrote:https://www.collectionzz.com/Cockage/pe ... x-05-27-94

Interesting that "Out of My Mind" appears on one of the early tracklists -- unless they're just reference tapes that don't reflect proposed tracklistings, but rather just a collection of songs slated for release in some format.

It's hard to fathom a May 94 Vitalogy not having Immortality.

Re: Original pre-release Vitalogy
That's due to it having the intro that is associated with Betterman on the released version of Vitalogy....Birds in Hell wrote:The running time for Spin the Black Circle on this tape is notably longer (3 min 14) here than on the final record (2 min 48).Anders wrote:https://www.collectionzz.com/Cockage/pe ... x-05-27-94

Good suggestion and you're probably right.mfc17 wrote:That's due to it having the intro that is associated with Betterman on the released version of Vitalogy....Birds in Hell wrote:The running time for Spin the Black Circle on this tape is notably longer (3 min 14) here than on the final record (2 min 48).Anders wrote:https://www.collectionzz.com/Cockage/pe ... x-05-27-94

That feedback intro on the record is around 23 seconds long, so that's pretty close (if not exact).
It's hard to imagine (no pun intended) how it fits in with STBC.
