These things are instinctually easy to resolve.

Brad and Mother Love Bone are in, Soundgarden is out.

Easy to resolve yet so tempting to complicate, not dissimilar to the album closer confusion that I have recently learned runs far deeper than Stip's convictions re: "Immortality"/"Stupid Mop."

To determine whether a thread belongs in this forum, I would ask myself, "Is the Pearl Jam connection the thing that compels most of RM's interest in this project/band/album?" Obviously this is numerically unknowable, but as Spenno says, easily intuited. Groups like The Rockfords, Deaf Charlie, etc., we are (usually) only aware of because they feature a PJ member. Groups like Soundgarden, RHCP, and QOTSA are obviously not that -- they have large-scale careers/audiences of their own that have little to nothing to do with their connection to Pearl Jam. There are likely many people on RM who are interested in discussing those bands but not interested in PJ side projects, so quarantining those threads here will likely come at the expense of some of the participation in them.

All in all, though, thank you for this forum.
