I'm glad! I took some basic theory in high school/college but I'm also mostly an amateur, and am always ready for someone to tell me I heard something wrong or used a wrong terminology or something. But I love listening for it!

That's definitely a line from "Idioteque" and you're probably right about the reference. There is also a lyric in "London Calling" that goes "the ice age is coming, the sun's zooming in." Weird because I'm a much bigger Radiohead fan than Clash fan, not sure why my mind went to that one...

I thought it was a reference to the animated film franchise Ice Age, starring Ray Romano, John Leguizamo, and featuring Queen Latifah as Ellie the mammoth

Wasn't the animated film based on the Radiohead song?

Not exactly. It went:

Clash song originated the term >
Film franchise borrowed from the Clash song >
Radiohead wrote song based on the film franchise >
Scientists began using the term in regards to the glaciological phenomenon, based on the Radiohead song

Wease gets a little strange during MM. You’d think NAIS being eliminated would have been enough.
