""Running" is probably our most uptempo song of the bunch, we kind of needed it" Demo was titled "big Sandy Punk"
So, this might be the only spritz!

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
this interview was very endearing, I guess the basketball clip makes sense now; I like basketball too (and maybe they didn't want to spoil the album by having one of the more significant tracks on a basketball ad)

I like that Jeff is naming songs that are not Dark Matter as songs he really likes (Waiting for Stevie, Got To Give, Setting Sun)

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Jeff is my favorite member of the band I don't think it's particularly close. I love that he had a steady pickup basketball crew well into his 50s.

He's always been the most authentically cool member of the band.

Both have totally bitchin' bass, makes sense. It's funny that he also named Quick Escape- aside from the dueling solos at the end with Mike and him, that bassline is easy peasy.Mike wrote:Jeff loves playing Hail, Hail and Tremor Christ

I also love it when they play Hail Hail and Tremor Christ.Mike wrote:Jeff loves playing Hail, Hail and Tremor Christ

So what does that make us — the fan base of fucking Garth Brooksspike wrote:Second single ballad is the PJ recipe. This one could hit too - middle aged dad singing country tinged maudlin song about being proud of his young adult daughters. Moms will dig it.Release_Me wrote:I doubt this would be the second single. The actual tweet wasn't even posted by Pearl Jam's account, they just reposted one by CBS.
I'm not hating anything about the clip. I don't expect a cute song about parenting to be an album standout. Probably just a break from the heaviness of the rest of the album. The Spin article described it as:
'There’s even a song about parenting, “Something Special,” which Vedder said at the Troubadour was co-written with touring member Josh Klinghoffer.'

I noticed he mentions 'Won't Tell a Soul' as the name of the song instead of just 'Won't Tell'. They must be paying per letter on the manufacturing side.

Whereas Stone is the most authentically dork, Matt is the most authentically ripped, Mike is the most authentically improvisational, and Ed is the most authentically poetic.tommy wrote:Monkey_Driven wrote:Jeff is my favorite member of the band I don't think it's particularly close. Note to warehouse: interviewer lists DMB as his favorite, Jeff says "I'm assuming we're number two." My love of Dave has been put on the back burner after my last relationship flamed out (she brought me way into that circle).
