This was a little tough

Unemployable is one of the few Pearl Jam songs I just dislike. Not a huge fan of the riff, dislike the sound, and really dislike the bright, shiny affectation in Eddie's voice. Plus I've always found the lyrics to be a little condescending. Eddie has Springsteen's instincts, but not his literary voice.

You Are: cool music in a song that doesn't go anywhere and needs more dynamics in the performance. Great opening line though. One of their best

1/2 Full: It is a little too close to Red Mosquito, but it's an interesting sentiment, the 'won't someone save the world' is a really cool final statement for the public facing side of Riot Act, and this was awesome live. They should do it more

1/2 Full gets my vote

I dislike this match because they're all good songs, with two of them residing among my favorites. "1/2 Full" has a great swagger and is one of Mike's best moments on Riot Act. "Unemployable" is the true gem of Avocado, elevating a string of other good songs. "You Are" is a unique example of the diversity that continues to make Pearl Jam such a special band. It's basically a toss up between "Unemployable" and "You Are," but right now I'm voting for the latter, sad to be likely losing the former.
