Hey, I dig the press build-up for this one. I'm accustomed to and conditioned by years of borderline unhinged hyperbole from Mike, but, now Daddy Ed is throwing the hype hadoukens and Jeff is tearing up at press events?

Waiting for friday so I have new Waxahatchee and Adrianne Lenker records to make the wait easier

Love both of those so much. Seeing Big Thief live is still one of the best concerts I’ve been to

These guys get into a room (at least this go around) and come up with stuff that sounds good to their collective ears.

As Ed has said, it’s important to the band as a whole to make sure each guy gets his color of paint on their work.

So, in what way is that inauthentic?

You seem to have a really hard time with RM having discussions beyond "yea! yay pearl jam this rules i cant wait!"

Like everything surrounding this release, making a record for the fans is perfectly fine in itself, but in the aggregate this is a possibly more damning than Andrew Wotman’s name being attached.

Can’t wait to see what PJ40 tix go for!

You think it’s reasonable for the drummer to spend his life mastering the tone of his instrument just for some pop producer to vomit on it?

You think someone with Matt Cameron’s talent and experience went thru recording this album not knowing how the producer worked and what his other projects sound like?

I think DDE made a great point about guys getting into a room and banging out a record they all seem excited about. That’s it.

The response of telling him to calm down was strange and telling someone “they have a really hard time” with discussions is patronizing as I pointed out. Seems strange to me. Your reference to vomit seems pretty strange too but hey man to each their own!
