Die Hard 4

Not up to the standard of the first 3, but not bad. Willis is still charismatic as hell and I like Justin Long as the sidekick. They have good chemistry, although the Boomer/Millennial bickering gets a little tiresome.

It's a crime that it's PG-13 and, as much as I like him, Timothy Olyphant is a huge weak link in the movie. He can't hang with Jeremy Irons or Alan Rickman.

This unfortunately got worse as it went on. It wasn't terrible, but I don't think I'd watch it again.

I'm not going to bother rewatching 5 because I remember it being awful, so I'll go ahead and rank the Die Hard movies -

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Poor Things.

I enjoyed it more than i thought, specially because of some of the visuals ( not everything, there are some very poorly lighten backgrounds, some awful stuff that seems made by AI) and Emma Stone´s performance.

The movie is so fucking long it just gets boring as hell, specially because story wise is so plain and obvious. This could have been better as an 80 minutes feature.

Taking a day off because it's snowing, so I'm sitting on my couch eating soup and watching Austin Powers. I'm interested to see if it holds up.

oh hey guys, i forgot to tell you the wife and i watched the new Road House last night. it was curiously entertaining, but mostly it was pretty bad. Gyllenhaal might not recover from this. He looks like he's trying for a smiling, charming Tom Cruise sort of charisma to carry this thing and he still comes across like his character in Nightcrawler. He should really stick to the creep roles.

Why is Gyllenhaal slumming it on Prime?

i'm guessing they expected it to go to theaters, pre production; i recall hearing the director being pissed about it going straight to streaming... but man, if you see this thang your question will be answered

Maybe it's just nostalgia, but I had a good time watching this. It's got a great cast, and it's very silly. I have a feeling the sequels won't hold up as well, but I'm willing to at least give the second one a shot.

I also watched Sexy Beast and Silent Running today.

Sexy Beast was great. A tight British crime thriller with a truly unhinged performance from Ben Kingsley. The best movie of the day.

Silent Running was an interesting movie. Bruce Dern was the only actor in the movie for most of it and he did a very impressive job. I don't know his career that well, but I'm always happy to see him.

Just finished Miami Vice. Issues with how it looked aside, this was really good. I'm surprised it's not more highly regarded.
