This was a great interview and gave me a smidgen of hope that they may revisit a more complex style later on. Fuck him.

Stone is right in that although he didn't contribute much to the songwriting for this album his tasteful guitar parts on a majority of the songs is what really makes this album sound so unique.

"She comes on like a storm...."
he pronounces it super fucking annoyingly. "She cyyyyyyyyomes on like a stwooooooorm"
...like a stone.
Also "like oooouhhh burning meteor from miles high." And "Whatever you replied, she took as yeeeeesssss."

And Stone can produce it!
I can get behind this idea. There have been 5 Vedder songs on every album since Binaural. And when some of those songs are like, Future Days, Speed of Sound, and Gone it makes me long for another Yield type album.
Jeff killed it on Lightning Bolt, he saved Getaway and the songs he wrote/co-wrote are by far the best on the album IMHO.
"MMMMMyeah we could do that...i'm not sure it fits the song right now . I mean its brilliant but i dont think the world is ready for it even though i think its top tier."
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.
