I simply cannot in good conscience give an album that includes a song like Sirens a passing grade. I'm sorry, but even though it's not the trainwreck the last one or two albums were, this album is fail.

Even if I could excuse it for Sirens, which I absolutely can't, Lightning Bolt coming right after only reinforces my opinion. All the good will created both before and after (ignoring the garbage tracks) is destroyed by these wretched songs. the worst part is that it sounds like they were trying so very very hard! that's what makes them so sad.

yes, I'm giving it the ole CAR TEST. Grade: F+ 65/100.
