Haha. I don't really post here enough to care if I'm rustling some jimmies. Just like my opinion man.Strat wrote:be careful with that hereRAG319 wrote:PJ's token punk rocker. IMO, it's too straight. Lacks any real depth that comes through in their other punk rockers like Lukin or Comatose. Also, still wrapping my head around their tone on this record. Are they playing PRS guitars through Mesa Boogies? Not likely, but it's much more synthetic than I'm used to from the band.

Imagine what, say, Jack White would've done with this song, with his vocals I mean.

I think if PJ are gonna do that, they just need to do it well, and this is done well enoughMcParadigm wrote:I like it alright.

I don't agree that PJ are just "dumb now"; Lukin, Red Dot, always dumb; I can allow them one on each album as long as it doesn't suck

That doesn't make sense. Why would Andrew Wotman be your GF? Maybe make it Albini?tragabigzanda wrote:(bottom-paged myself with technical difficulties)

Thing i like: Unconventional structure
Confused on Eds vocals. Can't understand a word he's fucking saying.

I sorta wish it was done less well. Sometimes the mess is the best, and you should just leave the rest.Ms Harmless wrote:I think if PJ are gonna do that, they just need to do it well, and this is done well enoughMcParadigm wrote:I like it alright.

Move that bridge into its own song, and fill up that space with more tomfoolery. Get yer gravitas off my lawn

Re: Running
I liked it enough, im hoping this is one of those less than stellar songs and the band released it because, well its PJ and they always chose weird singles.
I love the energy and how heavy it is, but this could be Supersuckers feat Eddie Vedder too.
Minor fun song in the context of the album, i hope.
Bridge is very cool, solo is generic AF

Re: Running
I give it a solid 2.5, maybe 3 stars. I like it enough.
I find it interesting the songs they’re releasing aren’t the ones people that have heard the album are hyped about.

I hear ya, but I feel like they'd have to be in their scratchy production era to pull that offMcParadigm wrote:I sorta wish it was done less well. we should feed stips other write-ups into ChatGPT and predict what he might say about this new song
