We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Good point. We've heard 5:50 worth of two complete songs out of 48:19 of the whole album.

Honestly, I can't fathom giving a review after just one listen. I need multiple listens to really understand the songs and form an opinion. Many songs I immediately like don't age well and some that don't grab me immediately become favourites later.

I couldnt agree more. Sometimes the best songs take awhile to sink in.

I think the hope from these kinds of events from the label's perspective typically (not just for PJ but generally) is to build buzz about an exclusive experience (which they hope translates into a positive buzz about the album itself). I don't think anybody could walk out of these kinds of things able to give an in-depth, thoughtful review.

1) That was a mostly incoherent/useless review

2) Makes you wonder why they decided to pivot from Wreckage to Running?

I just read that as "half of the album I still remember", not that the rest is bad

People seem to unanimously love 30% of Running.

Him saying he liked half the album is giving us a chance that around 55% of each remaining song is fucking great.
