Yeah, I'm all for everyone having the opinions respected, but that's stretching even my limits.

I appreciate the honesty here.epilogue wrote:If I'm being 100% honest and authentic and not trying to play to the RM majority... Can't Deny Me is better.oftheearth wrote:Weird, post got deleted.
Just curious if people felt this song was better or worse than ‘Can’t Deny Me’?
Now, that's not to say that I dislike this song, not by any means. I've been a vocal supporter of CDM from the jump. I still think it's a great song and wildly underrated.
Perhaps Running will grow on me. There is still a lot of context (the full album) missing. But my gut reaction after listening to Running about 6 times so far is that CDM is better. But I also fully get why most RMers (or PJ fans in general) would disagree.

Nah, there's no wrong or right but I'm sure there's good and bad.

For some reason this song reminds a little bit of an upbeat version of Whipping. Maybe. It's really a half-baked thought I probably should have kept to myself.

Re: Running
Not understanding the hate for this song, I think it kills--the energy is palpable. I may even like this better than Dark Matter. They're 2 for 2 now so I'm pretty pumped to hear the full product. Only gripe I have is that Eddie (again) is too buried in the mix, hard to make out the lyrics no matter what device I use to listen. Comparisons to Ole and Can't Deny Me are laughable; this song is light years better.

Someone (I think Ms Harmless?) mentioned earlier in the thread that under the right direction this was a Vitalogy song. And I agree. I think you're on the right track.Homeboyd wrote:For some reason this song reminds a little bit of an upbeat version of Whipping. Maybe. Running is so much better than Supersonic, so if this is Dark Matter´s Supersonic, happy times.
