I’m not sure anyone here believes it’s a question asked independently of your desire to bury this album and its villainous lead singer. But if you wanna call it serious, you do you.tragabigzanda wrote:did you miss the part where I said "serious question"? Good chunk of Yield. It's hard to figure out how to parse this. Those albums would have gotten a boost with a streaming release, but they've also had years of opportunities for casual play.
Dark Matter has clearly done well so far, regardless

Serious question: do you have to have over 40,000 posts to be able to call other posters a stupid dickhead?

We're focusing our energy on the wrong things here, children...No name calling.
How can this song possibly be a 5?

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Re: Dark Matter (song)
personally think we need to retire the word "irrational" from the forum
people be having different feelings, shit gets heated sometimes, skirmishes happen because emotional stakes are high; many of us have loved this band since we were kids; but we're all adults so "calm down" and "irrational" responses are kinda played out; most of us know what we're saying and we say it on purpose, even when we call each other names (and sometimes apologise afterwards)

The stages don’t necessarily go in order, as long as we eventually reach acceptance.tragabigzanda wrote:on the contrary, I posted a 12-page missive yesterday that was completely calm and rational, and posited a completely reasonable question, and JamilyBro over here is all "you hate pearl jam!" Because they have nothing to do with this song. The only reason you put that here was because you refuse to believe people could love it.tragabigzanda wrote:i love how rockpusher is just ignoring the four articles that cover the use of bots in streaming numbers
