It's a pre-tape that they'll sprinkle brief pieces of throughout the show..damn it.

Easily 7-8 minutes of ads there...how long has radio been this bad? Thought the webplayer was glitching..refreshed it three times before I realized that was just a normal ad break.

We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Radio is completely worse than streamers for listening to music, and massively worse than podcasts for interviews. I mean, if you're trapped in a car with no Apple/Android play it's great, and that's about it lol.

50 mins in and Stone has answered 1 question, lol. It was like a 5 minute response to a question about his Loosegroove Record label.

College radio still rules. Where else can you get Grateful Dead, Billie Eilish, Miranda Lambert, and Roxy Music all within the same programming block? Plus all your commercials are locally oriented.
Yeah that's fair...no good college ones near me but we do have a small indy rock station that plays a ton of new and barely known stuff. I find myself checking it out more and more as there have been a number of gems I'd have never heard before. Plus they can't sell as many ads so it's a bonus lol.

Are we sure it's a new interview? That Stone monologue sounded familiar.

He did give that exact same spiel about QOTSA, etc with someone else recently but it was a different interviewer, I believe.

Does anyone remember what thread I provided explicit criteria for what constitutes “spritz”? I recall there was general consensus about the criteria and definition. I wish I could recall what they were.

Maybe spritz is something you just feel and know when you hear it. Like art vs porn. Spritz is not a mystery to be solved. It’s a reality to be experienced.

I think it's personal like most music is...in my mind The Fixer and Mind Your Manners are spritz and I cannot stand them...Ole and Can't Deny Me are not spritz, they just suck lol. Running does not feel like spritz to me but I kinda like it so who the hell knows. I wouldn't argue if someone disagreed because it's in the ballpark.

Has Stone been on again after that initial time?

After Hunger Strike he will be back, apparently. But no, not yet.

Telling the story of Matt Cameron laying down the basis of Dark Matter. Also, apparently Watt would always wear silk pajamas with a Pearl Jam shirt.

I can't believe I even contemplated holding in what ended up being a pretty noteworthy shit for this.

Absolutely hideous music here, hoss. Making DM sound like Bohemian Rhapsody.

And that's all she wrote. Two segments of a few minutes each with no new info. Bleh.
