I eagerly anticipate a New York taskforce to review all major real estate finance deals of the last 30 years. Trust in the accuracy of commercial real estate valuation will be restored, and wrongdoers will be brought to justice!

First of all, ok. Yes. Let’s do it everywhere.

But it might help to remember that this case was triggered by Michael Cohen’s testimony about deceptive business practices under oath, in front of Congress. Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez repeatedly asked direct questions about misrepresentations of value, Cohen answered under oath, and only then…with his testimony a very public admission of fraud…was an investigation triggered.

It is an inevitable fact that trump‘s political aspirations put him under a unique level of microscope, and that ultimately brought him to this point. This seems good and right. Public officials should face a level of scrutiny beyond that of regular people. If it were up to me, people who casually engage in fraud would have no interest whatsoever in the presidency of the United States. They would be scared of the close attention it brings, and not see it merely as another path to power. Thanks.

We both know that if the Republican investigation had managed to accumulate evidence of Joe Biden trading policy for direct monetary gain sufficient for a public case to be made and impeachment commenced…you wouldn’t be saying “geez, they shouldn’t bother, because this happens all the time.” It would be, “they absolutely should do this, and take it seriously, to send a message to others.”

A real estate mogul got caught engaging in hundreds of millions of dollars worth of fraud, thanks to his insistent pursuit of the presidency. The only rational response to this is “OK, good, fuck that guy.”

We might run out of taxpayers to fund federal prisons if we subject everyone to FISA warrants, followed by the threat of 18 U.S.C. § 1001 prosecutions to get subjects to testify against their associates. Avoid the attention of the federal bureaucracies and you won't go to prison is a great rule to live by.

The Feds can absolutely send anyone they want to jail, and that works if you think they'll only use process crimes against the Capones of the world. It all comes down prosecutorial discretion, and there's no getting away from that entirely.

This statement misunderstand who actually pays taxes in this county. Keep calm and prosecute on.

Manipulative con-man who played politics as a rule is now complaining that fraud prosecutions are a manipulative political play.

The sympathetic are butthurt and triggered, desperately looking for things to discredit, with no sense of the inevitable or in general.

Heads will be shaved if Trump loses election. Common enemy must pay. Hale-Bopp comet was almost in sight.

Everyone else laughs unsurprised with no news media outlet necessary. Too bad, so sad.

Let’s say someone won the mega millions and they offered to cover Trump’s bond. But with the condition that he drops out of this race and can never run for president again. Does he take it?

Probably not. His social media company is about to go public and his share is more than enough to cover it if he gets a waiver to sell. What’s more interesting is what happens if he lets the properties be seized. Does the state have to maintain them until after his appeals are exhausted?

N.Y. appeals court reduces Trump's bond in his civil fraud case to $175 million, a victory for the former president
The court also gave Trump an additional 10 days to post the bond, which the former president said Monday he would pay.

Makes way more sense than the previous amount being due before appeals.

He’s floating Truth social and saying it’s worth billions.
Why is it suddenly worth billions?

Because billions need to be laundered. And the only question remains is where are those billions coming from.
Likely Russia.
