Re: The New & Unproved Work/Job/Career Thread
Good day at the factory. I started to get back on my regular bullshit of building spreadsheets and collecting data to support minor improvements around the office and was entirely ignored. Even about things I was asked to generate for them. I'm glad, actually, because it reminded me to not care. Let someone else drive. I am happy just accomplishing my assigned tasks

My BIL was just telling me how he's losing sleep over his job and his cruel manager. My advice to him was, "do you have the option to care less?"
It's good advice, people. Care less. Do less.

I don't think anyone knows I've actually returned to work yet. It's been a week. Let's see how this plays out.

The IT guy knows I'm here, but considering I set up everything my self, I don't think he cares.

I'll probably give it another week or two, then I'll email someone with a "hey, just got into town and I'm excited to get started!"
