How the fuck does this happen? Captain must have been asleep or intoxicated. Authorities have said sonar indicates vehicles on the bottom. Very sad indeed.

One of the reports I read said the ship lost total power for a bit and by the time it came back on, it was too late.

So far the story is the motor lost power and the ship did alert the authorities about it

No chance. They pulled 2 people out of the water. There were at least 20 cars on that bridge.

They said this morning on the news that best possible outlier would make it an hour in that water, and that's assuming you didn't die in your car.
