Not at all. Like 2-3 max per variant. Sometimes just 1. They’re all available online though, I haven’t seen any (yet) where a shop is holding them specifically for in person.Monkey_Driven wrote:Doesn't seem like too many stores are carrying each variant.bodysnatcher wrote:I wonder how they chose each store to carry that particular variant. I think it’s more about them earning from the attention, not extra money from the sales themself.96583UP wrote:if a meaningful amount of the profits are going to local, independent, otherwise economically-fragile records stores, then this makes much more sense / I get itBurtReynolds wrote:Stip is right for once. The most notable case of this was the Adele 30 pressing just absolutely fucking up production schedules by jumping ahead of schedule, and sending a pretty long-lasting ripple effect across the industry. And 6 months later, stores and sites couldn’t get rid of their stock and that thing could readily be found for like $10.

Re: Post-Riot Act Moneygrab
Remember during Backspacer, they'd post a picture of the limited edition 7", and you had to run to the store immediately to get it?

Everything's perfectly all right now. We're fine. We're all fine here, now, thank you. How are you?
