Fully expect WES to win this so I'll go with QE. Matt is pretty good on this one.

Who Ever Said, but QE is still great

The first four songs of Gigaton are so good. What a run. Arguably the best 4 song run in the catalog. outside of maybe some combination of tracks 2-8 on Ten

NFY to Whipping is pretty close, but I think this just edges it out. I don't think the first 4 songs on Yield are anything special, but i'm pretty meh on faithfull and No Way is interesting but not a classic.

that vitalogy run is great, though!

If Pry to wasn't there Tremor Christ - Nothingman - Whipping - Corduroy would be unbeatable

Agree on the "arguably the best run" point.

And especially if we're talking best four to start a record.

Actually it's not even the best 4 song run on Gigaton. DotC thru 7:00 is better.

Gigaton has the second best 7 song run in the catalog (1-7). Only Ten 2-8 beats it.

For record opening four songs it's tough to beat the first two...I mean Vs. starts Go, Animal, Daughter and the fourth song could be me singing in the shower and it'd still be tough to beat. Personally, I'd take Vitalogy...Last Exit, Spin, NFY, Tremor Christ...but that's because Last Exit is a top 5 song for me.

The first five albums all come out swinging...up until Binaural which has a pretty underwhelming 1-4. It's been a mixed bag since with Giga being a standout.

Just did a listen as I really don't listen to Gigaton much at all these days. Who Ever Said gets it for me pretty easily.

It's a pretty good album overall. No, all time greatest run of songs, but it does have some real highlights, which these two songs are a part of.
