That’s an interesting take on Got to Give. Def not the description I expected (in terms of songs compared to).

Seems way to heavy from the clip to be a mash up of you’re true and without you. Uke songs???

Ratings will obviously change (pretty sure they will go up tbh) But this is for anyone who is thirsty for the new album info. take it with a grain of salt. For entertainment purposes only

Scared of Fear **** (chorus is killer) React/Respond *** (didn’t hit the high of the first song. aggressive) Wreckage ** (was expecting a lot from this and was kinda disappointed. Not counting it out since it’s rumored as a single. Room to grow.) Dark Matter **1/2 (Didn’t quite connect on first listen but **** song now. Love it.) Won’t Tell N/A (zero memory of this one) Upper Hand ***1/2 (Binaural fans will freak out at the intro. NAIS-ish. Then turns into a mid tempo radio rocker.) Waiting for Stevie ***** (don’t want to hype this one up too much. But was my fav of the bunch. Haven’t had a high on first listen from a PJ song like this since Unthought Known. But I’m still not sure how it will land with everyone else. Maybe too poppy?) Running ***1/2 (Fun rocker. Punkiest song on the album? Ending is batshit.) Someone Special ** (not my vibe but will be a fav by some(one special) Got to Give *** (mid tempo radio friendly rocker. Think you’re true and Without You but done with the band) Setting Sun **** (Perfect closer. Felt like I was on a beach.)

Fans with a home stereo set up are gonna love it. Feels like an album that should surround you. And it is complete and cohesive."
Thanks. This is about 100x better than any other review we've seen from the listening party crew.

Which on the door leak is Got to Give. I never thought it was on the leak. Stone compared it to a Ed Who style rocker.

Ok revised those to Uke songs they are a bit Who like in structure. Maybe it will be a Pinball wizard type of riff.

Seams to definitely be a consensus about WFS and SOF. I really like Won't Tell on the leak. Setting Sun sound like really a stunner. This could be really great

They also had this to say, I posted it before but why not, this user has more details than any of the London listeners

"First song blew everyone away. Reminded me of the same energy/drive of who ever said. Last song left them speechless. Think parting ways meets retrograde meets around the bend. (I know but trust me). Album ends on such a high note. Super powerful stuff. No filler tracks. Feels like yield in that way. First half is more rocking. Wrecked mellows it out. That reminded me of a 7 o’clock verse type of song. Second half is filled with the mid tempo rockers and running breaks it up(which reminded me of good vs evil, especially the end). Someone Special wasn’t really my vibe, but everyone else loved it. It’s pretty fucking adorable and will hit with anyone who has kids. My initial standouts were scared of fear, waiting for Stevie, got to give (triumphant feel good chorus) and setting sunset."

It can be heard on the metal door leak and it does indeed sound great.

I prefer a defeated feel-bad chorus

I love the seven o'clock verse and am 100% ready for a song that is mostly that

So the last track of the door leak has a triumphant chorus? I can't really hear it well at all Something Special is clear but the last song isn't, but it sounds very heavy. Maybe it is just being played loud

Thanks for this. It's more than we got from the UK listening party. I'm just struggling to put the ratings in context because the guy gives Dark Matter 2.5 stars and Running 3.5 stars on first listen. Hard to decipher what that implies for the rest of the album tracks which he only got to listen to once.
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

When I think of triumphant, feel-good chorus, Given To Fly comes to mind. I'm up for that.
