it wasn't so much about the bag, but it was about the character unabashedly revealing a very embarrassing thing about himself to a lady he liked, who didn't shame him for it

I agree. My brother said it was the Prequels, which I thought was crazy.

The Hobbit trilogy is actually unwatchable. At least the prequels have the charm of being the singular vision of a psycho.
