State of Love and Trust has been my RVM of the last few years. An early era masterpiece I wrote off and rediscovered. This song is so good and we 100% take it for granted. Everything Pearl Jam did better than anyone in this period. Just a ferociously indignant song.

I Got Shit is from the beginning of my favorite era, but it is so abundantly obvious State of Love and Trust is the better song.

But I'm beginning to realize that Eddie Vedder REALLY takes breakups hard.

I'm pretty fed up with both of these, but that's not either song's fault. Both are really great songs. But I don't feel any passion at all for this match up.

State of Love and Trust wins a close match-up; two really different songs but would probably land pretty close on my ranking of all-time PJ songs. I mentioned in another matchup that SOLAT and Wash were my favorite b-sides from that time; could they have been in the running for Ten, or were they written after that record came out?
