I don't understand why he refuses to do specials.
necro poasting: it's because he's been doing the same set for a decade, he doesn't write new stuff

Just watched Alex Edelman: Just for Us on Max.

I’d never heard of him, but I saw a clip of this special on TikTok, and thought it might be funny.

It was really good.

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

Couldn’t get past the first five on koko the monkey. But I liked him on birbiglia’s podcast. Does it get better?
I thought so. I also didn’t mind the bit about koko.

He’s definitely more of a storyteller like Birbiglia than anything else, so if you approach it that way it may hit different.

my wife and I saw Sarah Sherman last night. it was good. lots of self-deprecating jokes, mixed with grotesque and funny imagery she shows on the screen behind her, and some crowd work as well.

Nikki Glasier is gonna host the Golden Globes next year. After that Brady roast, I'll tune in.
