First I pre-ordered the Ten Club exclusive vinyl, then I pre-ordered the deluxe CD because Josh Evans Atmos, then I got a ticket to the movie theater , then I'm pre-ordering at least the black vinyl at my LRS during the listening party, then there's the RSD variant I must have the day after the album comes out.

Jeff dancing does sound awful and I purposefully didn't click the link in this thread.

In all seriousness... I enjoy having the instrumental Dark Matter "b-side".

On the one hand I love the discussion it creates here and being able to have all the talking focused on one thing. When the album comes out no song will get as much focused discussion as Dark Matter and Running got.

On the other hand I heavily dislike knowing too many songs of an album before release. There are a lot of albums recently that release as much as 4 or even 5 singles before the album is released and that dampens the excitement when listening to the whole thing quite a bit. Also, getting to know a song by a snippet first feels kind of weird, especially when the snippet is like 20-30 seconds long. Is that how I want to get to know music? In little parts, just to keep the hype going? It's always the same for me: Initial excitement for a snippet because I am very curious by nature and want to know as much as I can and also loving the discussion about it. After the fact I then wish I was more patient and just waited for the whole song. It's a very weird way to consume art.

If there is one snippet of the first songs it's very interesting because you get a hint about how the album might sound/how it's produced. But do I want more after that? The curious part of my brain says yes, the more rational part says no.

Probably gonna be two days before the album release like Quick Escape. That would be okay. (Album probably leaked then)

Ah yes that sweet spot between “Pearl Jam sucks now” and “Revoke their HOF status and kill me with an amp sim.”

The Trag account has been a mess the last month or so. I expect it to be worse in the next month.

Lets all be patient and understand.

He and Pearl Jam have been together since his teens; it’s going to take awhile.

A few hot and heavy sessions with IDLES should take the sting out

Board felt pretty quiet this weekend. Resting up for this week's leak, I suppose.

What’s left to discuss? Stones interview, Running, a few reviews. All in the distant past.

Time to hear this thing.
