Yeah...I mean damn I really like the track, but that drum pattern is fairly rudimentary.

indeed; when he was about to say "I really haven't heard a beat like it" I was bracing myself, "don't say it don't say it don't say it", and then he said it

we love ya, Stone

this record is 3 for 3 for me at the moment

I am still listening to this often. at least once a day. sometimes more. I just love how Eddie sounds on this. Right now I'm fixated on the lyric/delivery on' Eroding away/we're pulling apart'. Love it. Ominous and sad and kind of wistful

I really like Ed on this song most of all, of the three so far

I like everything Ed's doing on the songs we've heard so far, except the shouting in the outro of Running. That feels unnecessary.

I don't mind Ed shouting f'goff etc., I like it more than the Avocado screech

Personally, I liked the aggressive Ed on Avocado. He nailed those screams. This just sounds like shouting for the sake of it, imo. Doesn't add much to the song.

Maybe if he was doing something similar to the screams in Not For You, I'd like it. It sounds more like just shouting random stuff quickly that I can't even make out.

I do like his singing on the rest of the song, though.

I love the frantic chaos of Ed's delivery on this one. Like we're all grasping to try to control something that's already out of control.

The bridge is still my favorite thing in this song
Mike's solo is a close 2nd

This song is kinda nu-metal like. Right? Like PJ doing nu-metal, except also it's not.

It's grown on me a bit too. I'm hopeful a live performance (like on Stern's show) will improve it even further.

I hope and think I might like this better in the context of the album. As a standalone single I'm always underwhelmed after listening to it even though I kind of enjoy it while its on. Surrounded by songs I'm more excited by it might work.

Just listened to the door leak again, and I think this is definitely the case.
However, I also think that DM the song is very good by itself.

Jeffs bass sound and the overall metallic sound gives it a bit of that vibe
