We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
Here's where I'm at with this album:
Pros
Dark Matter and Running - good, solid songs from a "modern" PJ
Artwork and pics - digging how the band looks in promo photos and liking the DM logo, typeface, etc.
Cons
Production - I'm no audiophile but even I can understand the difference in this vs. a nicer sounding record like Vs., No Code, Riot Act.
Something Special - just not my taste and way too sitcom-based. And, the cursing seems misplaced.

Yeah I was very hopeful before the first single came out. I thought for sure I'd be tiptoeing around you for this release, but here we are!tragabigzanda wrote:E.H. I'm still hopeful there will be 4-5 good to great songs and enough live performances to elevate some of the lesser and/or poorly produced tracks.

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
While many here would argue that the batter has had at least 1 hit in those three at-bats, what you've described is not really how baseball works. Even Barry Bonds would have 0-3 moments. This is a small sample size problem. What I would say is, look at the career numbers, and look at recent seasons. Did you think that Gigaton (their last season) was good? Do you think that their overall career numbers are good? Finally, are you unwilling to look past their hideous uniforms (the production) to see what they are actually doing on the field?E.H.
