Never seen, but I'm going to assume this to be the equivalent of the funniest Richard Pryor CDs I ownstip wrote:it's like watching the opening sketch of the Great British Baking Show

Or the opening banter of Taskmaster. I'm now imagining every pun being told by Alex Horne to a very disapproving Greg? Daviesstip wrote:it's like watching the opening sketch of the Great British Baking Show

Re: Dark Matter Reviews
Was Gigaton being written about this way when it came out? At least half the reviews describe it as this weird, plodding, atmospheric album and Dark Matter as the "return to energy" album. I feel like that was not the case at all 4 years ago. Feels a bit like revisionism (is that the right word?).

Re: Dark Matter Reviews
That seems to be the running theme among the reviews. SS the worst, Running and Dark Matter almost never talked about as highlights and the first two being good rockers.Val wrote:They also found SS embarrassingRelease_Me wrote:Review by the Irish Times, four stars:

"this is audibly the work of wealthy men in late middle age"
I wonder how one comes to that conclusion. Is that really apparent in the MUSIC or does the writer just want to hear it because he knows they are wealthy? Weird take. Pearl Jam probably were already wealthy when Vitalogy came out. Was that audibly the work of wealthy young men?

Re: Dark Matter Reviews
- Andrew Watt make Pearl Jam (who were once good from 1991-1994) young again
- Gigaton boring, Dark Matter rocks
- Something Special Bad
- Scared of Fear, React/Response, Waiting for Stevie good
- It's a pretty good album, 4/5 stars
Here is a summary of all upcoming reviews because I can see into the future
