Going by Barbie it'll play superficial lip service to the most digestible version of a popular political stance (in this case probably some zoomery anticapitalist thing) while justifying and romanticizing the structures that uphold the very thing it's purportedly skewering, serving as an extremely effective piece of corporate marketing PR for the people of Hasbro

Whenever there's active promotion on the part of somebody else, whenever I see somebody all dolled up for a fancy photograph and someone's handing out flyers or whenever there's active promotion for something like that, as an imposition on my day, I hate all those people and I want them to fail. I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

It's fine for a movie to take a political stance or have any kind of agenda as long as its not at the expense of good storytelling. The proverbial baby doesn't have to be thrown out with the bath water. They're not mutually exclusive, so to speak.

That's the honest, unhypocritical way to go. Just say you're a pro-capitalism movie, or at the very least be apolitical about it. Give us a hero, like Charlie Bucket. His character is why he gets all the money in the end, he earned it.
