Makes me appreciate what my brother said, about the singles having a higher degree of sheen. This song has relatively normal production from what I can hear.

more and more convinced that it's matt on the harmonies. at least i hope so.. his voice is an under utilized weapon

even if it's not him, it sounds great. i just don't want to have to give wotman or j-kling props if it's one of them

I'd prefer Klinghoffer since he's at least a touring musician. But yeah, Matt is my first choice. He harmonizes well with Ed.

I’ just want to say that it’s very difficult to sing and play drums at the same time

yea, and matt has done less of it as time has gone on. (btw i think it was criminal to let mike take the bg vocals on sirens away from him)

but a few lines in the chorus of a laid back, mid-tempo song like this shouldn't be too much for him

the drums are still flat, but otherwise I'd agree

Ever seen Mastodon? Their drummer is the lead singer at times, it's amazing.

I don't recall the exact line but ....the "charcoal faces burned lit photographs" is an awesome line and delivery

He said *thinks* it's going to be a single. A distinction between *thought*, imo.

No clue when the interview was recorded, though. It was announced a few weeks back so it could have been in the can for a while.

pinfield had only listened to the record a few times at the point of interview so i imagine it was pre running.

For what it's worth, my 13 year-old said this one sounds like a cheesy pop country song.

The bit from that metal door clip makes it sound a lot more exciting than the 30 second clip from earlier this week.
