If it’s like Buckle Up then I’m Ok with that.

It didn’t sound like they had a lot of uptempo numbers which appears to be why Running was worked on late

C'mon, he's Matt Cameron, he never gets excited.
I agree, it's just his way; you could tell he felt Kingpin's gushing praise was awkward and got shy

He drummed on and wrote for Badmotorfinger and Superunknown. I doubt he can really muster up much excitement for a late career Pearl Jam album

if Pearl Jam isn't their top priority anymore (and why should it be? you can bet your ass I'd prioritise my family if I had one), I just want them to be honest about it; it's fine, I just hate them desperately skirting around it

Lol yep, it seems like for Matt it was a long time ago, it was a few days in the studio, and he doesn't remember much
Pinfield: Who mixed the record?
Cameron: His guy mixed the record. I don't remember his name.

Pinfield: What's your favorite song on the record?
Cameron: I don't know all the titles.

Definitely the drummer in the band.

He also mentions Watt having the ability for a take to immediately "sound like an album mix" because he "has all these templates set up" in the DAW.
Would definitely appreciate hearing more about that.

Know Trag is likely going to pull his hair out, but, Cameron said that they really loved recording with this new generation of modern producer.
It’s the six weeks a year. They’re happy to get in and out. RIP Pearl Jam
It’s like Clippy shows up and says “Hi there! Would you like to make a rock record?”

Pearl Jam hasn’t been the pure priority in that sense since 2006. From that point on, it’s been sporadic touring, long album cycles, quick tossing of ideas, 6-8 weeks per year spread out. This isn’t a new thing. Even Gigaton, which took forever to record and complete wasn’t the band getting together to bang out ideas, even if it was still great, and I recall Josh Evans had a huge hand in putting it all together.

The funniest quote from this album cycle was something like "We were all super excited about the spontaneity of that first session, the speed of it. When we got back together for the second session over a year later..."

I agree, I started noticing it big time during Backspacer; it stung at first, but now it's OK and I realised all I wanted was music I enjoy more; I've had that again since Gigaton; so, I'm only bringing it up in response to posters still struggling with it

Do you want Wreckage complete or another 30 secs of a different song

I’ve pretty much formed my opinion about Wreckage. You can hear the chorus melody in the door leak.

I’d like a clip of something else.

Right?

There’s people out there that have the whole thing.
Just give me a name and address.
The rest I’ll take care of myself.
