Bigger albums still do on occasion. Both the new Vampire Weekend and Queens of the Stone Age leaked a week in advance.

This thread is bringing out the worst in us all. When the album finally comes out we should burn it.

while fully conceeding that better production could make these songs even better, it has certainly not gotten in the way of my immense enjoyment of Dark Matter or lesser but still real enjoyment of Running. And if a song like DM was mixed to sound like it was on No Code or Riot Act Id probably enjoy it less - the pummeling feel of the song elevates its impact (in a way, to be fair, it probably wont on, say, Wreckage).

this is basically the brick wall conversations around S/T all over again
