Re: What movies are you watching?
Civil War was really great. I kind of want to get another ticket to go see it again immediately, like this moment, but that's at least in part because the movie got me messed up and I feel weird just in the last few minutes walking around since I left the theatre. It's intense and rather great

I have a visceral reaction to advertising and promotion. There's just something about salesmanship that grates on me on a very base level and I react very negatively towards it. I want those people to suffer and I want their enterprises to fail.

That must be a Montana thing, or perhaps a genuine message from Jesus

Re: What movies are you watching?
Just saw it. I felt the same way walking out of it. I saw it with a friend and he and i decided we’d talk later about it because some unpacking needed done. It wasn’t what i was expecting at all but in a good wayThe Argonaut wrote:Civil War was really great. Argo, interested to hear more from you on this. The use of silence in this was effective for me. Especially after they realized what had happened after the Jessie Plemons scene

It's very affecting, really forces focus in a way you can't ignore. I felt the whole thing was really tense and put together so well. All the pieces really fit together and worked for me.E.H. There are maybe a couple moments that are too on the nose or shade into overly dramatic, but that's kind of inevitable and forgivable in a movie like this. I was into the whole thing

It's a great cast, especially the two leads (Dunst & Spaeny)

If the Farcry 5 song (AkA the real American anthem) doesn't play before every movie or sporting event, are you even really in Montana?tragabigzanda wrote:Argo did your showing have some weird “Jesus is coming” ad before the trailers?

Is the Guns n Roses song on the soundtrack?
