Sound quality is terrible. It feels like a bootleg someone captured on a hand held tape recorder at an indoor concert. But it gives you the vibes of the songs.

Saying this publicly. This one is obvious as all fuck. It’s resting on laurels.

In time people will see Gigaton as the more important and interesting one.

The excitement has heightened to a frenzy for me. I've seen the arc of my personal exhilaration for this album run from:
-Pining at the thought
-Thinking we were close, then disappointment because we weren't.
-A taste with the release of singles and snippets.
-Absolute glory and exhilaration as the week has come, there's a file on my phone should I choose to listen, and terrificly fun reviews and emotions coming from each of you.

Feels like I'm in that space where, errr, "gratification" is inevitable, and immediately achievable, but am just enjoying this feeling so much and that I'll only benefit from holding on until Tuesday night in the theater.

For now, that's the plan and then I'll listen to the iPhone recording on my drive back home from the theater.

I might imbibe too much today and abruptly change course, however. You never know! :haha:
I’m with you! I don’t mind listening to the phone version after listening to the clean version on Tuesday.

Won't Tell - Upper Hand - Waiting for Stevie are three full fledged anthems in a row. When was the last run of songs like that?

It's kind of liberating to listen knowing I will never make out what Eddie is saying so there's no need to try

They did it - a PRAMG album where more than 50% of the tracks are actual keepers.

It's a good day.

I was so sad with the ticket prices, the marketing, the subpar singles, the Ten Club situation... but reading your comments is making me expect greatness again after all this years.

This f*cking band, man.

Upper hand is epic

Waiting For Stevie - classic PJ

Should have been a single. Ed sounds great imho.

I ALWAYS listen to the leaks, so this is new territory. I'll definitely come back Tuesday night and give perspective of listening in Atmos first, then voice recording 2nd.

the interstitial between Waiting for Stevie and Running is lovely. It's kind of wasted on Running

I took no notes but I’ll say I felt “meh” for only one half of one song during the event. Really dig the rest. Eager to hear it again with better sound quality on Tuesday. These always require a dozen-plus listens before you can fairly judge.

The clear standout to me was React, Respond.

I also like Dark Matter a lot but have heard it 50+ times already so it didn’t get as much a reaction out of me.

Very mixed impressions so far.

The opening three songs were OK - React, Respond and Wreckage in particular both sounded pretty good.

Much less keen on everything I'm hearing after. Running sounded stronger in context and genuinely felt like a welcome reprieve after the stretch from Dark Matter through Waiting for Stevie, which was pretty hard-going.

It's possible further listens will reveal hidden depths but I'm not sure there's anything here remotely as strong as Gigaton's high points.

This was my favorite part of the record when I listened.
