I’m glad someone else feels the Americana influence in this! I’m all for it

Thanks to those who made the recordings. And thanks to everyone who has listened to them. I've caught up on every comment and cannot wait until midnight 4/19.

I think I'm gonna wait until a real leak gets out, or till the actual release.

It's all over the place, at least with this poor quality leak.

Setting sun is very Americana, too.

I've seen several "better than Gigaton" takes. But does anyone who loves loves loves Gigaton think that at this obviously extremely early juncture?

I love love love Gigaton and will be shocked if, in the end, this actually tops it.

I kinda love the lo-fi leak too. Reminds me of when Yield leaked and I held up a boom box to my computer to make a tape of it. A bit of nostalgia.

For my personal tastes I'd be shocked if this approaches gigaton for me after it settles in

Well, I'm done with my first (and hope only) listen of the Iphone leak.

I'm just blown away.

I don't know how I'll feel in the future, how the dozens of times I'll play the record will affect in the long run, all I know is that I've enjoyed this first listen like I hadn't in a long, long time with PJ.

What a beautiful vibe this record has.

Way more than I was hoping for, to be completely honest.

Enjoy it while it lasts, folks, the band of our lives appears to be alive and kicking after a long time of doubts.

It exceeded my expectations and that's all I can ask for. For this band to still be making music that moves the needle is really something.

I think it is a very different record, and equally as strong but for completely different reasons; it felt less visceral but in many places more euphoric; I'm happy to put it with Gigaton alongside the first 7 records as my favourite

I adore gigaton and think it’s too early to make that claim. But this looks to be a really good record. And the songs feel ambitious (more ambitious than most of gigatons songs which weren’t always looking to resolve in that space), so maybe…

It’s like they thought about the end of retrograde and thought ‘let’s try for that feeling’ on most of the songs

Based on a shitty leak that conjures all sorts of nostalgia

After only 1 listen, as a whole, no I don't think it reaches the overall vibe of Gigaton... however, I think there are singular moments which reach a level that Gigaton never gets to.

Y’all know I love Gigaton but this definitely tops it for me.
