I'd like to request that somebody scan the liner notes ASAP when they get their physical copy - the last coupla PJ albums I've only got the digital version and for some reason they don't deem that worthy of having liner notes.

Also, I'm sure this information is out there somewhere, but it's frustrating trying to figure out all these editions. If I buy the CD, do I get a digital download as well?

i am not the first person to make this observation
, but almost all these songs (especially the 4:30+ ones) all have a live feel to them - sticking with their core structure but a loose, extended, improvisational approach to them.

Early favourites: Scared of Fear, Upper Hand, Waiting For Stevie, Setting Sun

React, Respond, Wreckage, Won't Tell, Got To Give, Dark Matter are just a notch below, but still great. Out of these, I feel like Won't Tell and Got To Give have potential to grow on me the most.

Running is good and a fine album track.

Something Special is OK, but unnecessary.

Overall, I'd give the album 4.5/5 stars. I think it's bigger and better than Gigaton, also more ambitious. That's how I feel today. Whether that changes in the future or not, only time will tell.

I think this is the one by bluestate. No crying baby, but a guy says "I need more pizza" just when Upper Hand starts.

The crowd is generally quiet during the songs, which makes this very listenable.

thanks for the bootleg! its surprisingly clear.

i decided to listen to this to focus solely on the songwriting and arrangement, rather than the recording/mix/master issues i will inevitably have. its also nostalgic to have some weird inferior version of an unreleased album

It seems like they are referencing their influences a lot more directly, which is not a bad thing.

i do hear a lot of lightning bolt/earthling across these tracks:sirens, infallible, rose of jericho, power of right, etc

its like they were all demos for earthling, but then the band came in and jammed them out or something.

there was some fun punk guitar ideas across a lot of the rock tracks and a lot of strong endings that their early albums used to have.

i like mikes solos on top of the vocals to close out songs.

Its also like lightning bolt in the song style and album flow.

there doesn't really seem like any true stone, jeff or matt songs on here.

i think its on par with backspacer but with more meat.

in songwriting only ..its a strong PRAMG album.

I'm actually looking forward to any of these tracks showing up in the shows i'm going to, because there will be no digital drums and guitar tones which i couldnt help but hear throughout.

I think thats why they went with the shorter ones for singles. all the others are very much like they are playing live at the end of them…jamming on fire, would be difficult for radio today.

Premature to say this based on the sound quality of the leak. But there's an energy to the songs that reinforces how sterile and lifeless Backspacer and Lightning Bolt sounded.

Ditching B'OB was the best thing they ever did.
