Old man bladders, falling asleep in recliners, arthritis medication ads at the theater. I'll add; I had my age 45 colonoscopy today so I couldn't make the theater event. I remember when my fellow Pearl Jam fans were all kids. Now look at us. Awesome.

Here we go. Nice and reclined and ready to roll. Sm popcorn and bottle of water = $17.

Thanks Powell fed. Money printers.

Pearl Jam had a peak of getting things to us a day or two ahead of release date, and that rocked, but they've long since switched to this system of making us pay a bunch of extra money to UPS for a super shitty delivery system that is apparently more environmentally friendly. I think there's a dude leaving Seattle on foot Friday morning with an old paperboy sack full of Dark Matters to deliver across the US. You'll get your vinyl in 2025, but the carbon footprint is nearly zero!

I just saw the listening party and….i actually really liked it???

This is not at all what I expected. The singles give such a different impression. This is way folkier than I thought and I love that Pearl Jam. Im so pleasantly surprised.

My favorite songs were Wreckage, Waiting for Stevie, Something Special, and Got to Give

But um….is eddies marriage ok? I was very taken aback by how many songs seem to be about breaking up with a long love. I expected a political album but it seemed to be a breakup album? It was very strange. Do we not know something ?

Including
Spoiler: show
both the opening and closing song

EDGY. Movie theater popcorn cost - or any entertainment venue's concession cost - has as much to do with Powell's Fed as it does with the color socks I picked this morning. I mean I don't like him any more than the next guy... but you paid a premium to go listen to a record in a movie theater just a few days before it comes out.

Not sure why you'd be pinching pennies at the snack bar at that point.

Listening on my way to the bar again and it hit me... Upper Hand totally feels like if NAIS and All Or None had a baby... At least for me it does. And Waiting For Stevie... damn, that song feels like it came straight out of the 90's for me. Loving this album so much.

It’s so funny to me that, of these tracks, they shared Running

I mean it’s none of my business. But it was a strange departure in his song writing and it does become relevant when trying to analyze the album and its songs and the context it was made in.
