This might be the one I’m most excited for at the moment, despite all the praise being heaped on a few others.

Add this to Eddie's repertoire of great driving songs. Going to be a fun summer song on some road trips.

the bridge of this shares chords with Simple Minds' "Don't you forget about me", lending to the 80s vibes

It reminds me of This Hard Land by Bruce. Not in sound, just vibes. Big open wide heartland anthem.

Or maybe Big Country as well

I didn't enjoy this. It doesn't suit the band as a whole - probably would have worked nicely as an Ed solo track.

Something about that Steel guitar sound just feels too light for a PJ track. If they'd recorded it more sparsely, I'd likely enjoy it more. It might sound good live.

I loved this one. Very catchy and anthemic but in a different way. I would have made it the single.

I like the track but I agree, I wish there more layers here to make it more of a PJ track and not more like an Ed solo track. The bridge is great though as is the chorus. Kind reminiscent of Amongst The Waves in feel.

It's like Ed finally cracked the code on how to do his favorite band the Who. He's gotten close a few times but finally nails it on the head here.

Nice! You have any more such videos from the theatre?
Pearl Jam is the only band I'll spend money on.

I don't hear the Who but I was never a big fan...this to me is a Springsteen song through and through. But I guess those are basically the US and UK equivalents. Heart on your sleeve rock.

Beginning of song to me is straightup Mellencamp/Springsteen, but definitely goes into a very Who mode including the very appropriately used (glare at BO’B) piano

Okay I can see it in the chorus...I love Bruce so that may color my opinions but this to me is the most crazy departure on the whole album (in a good way).
