Thanks fellas.

Surgeon just came in. He was basically “you gotta have the bypass and we gotta do it now.” He said they had a six-hour window after the other failed to start the bypass before any kind of ischemia started so they’re rushing to get the prep done to get her into surgery within the next 40 minutes. He said it was, at a minimum, a three-hour surgery and won’t know if it’ll be longer until they get everything going. She seemed scared a bit when he was explaining it all, but she’s accepted it and is good now. The day has turned out a lot different than we had expected for sure.

Yeah. He’s totally confident about fixing the blockage. He’s actually going to fix another that they were initially going to treat with meds. But he was like “while we’re in there…” So she should come out of today’s proceedings even better than originally predicted.

I’ll call you and we’ll have a listening party with her and Papa Wease. See if he agrees with your production hatred.

i dont have a spedometer but on that particular show the moment that gets me the most is on Jeremy as they transition into the Jam ... it speeds up ever so slightly and they just get into it ... also the Alive solo ... just A-tier PJ

They also made the blockage worse. Went from 95% to 100% blocked. They’re moving her to cardiac ICU. Said high likelihood of her having heart attack now. Will now have to have open-heart to clear blockage but they’ve not given us any kind of timeline as to when that will happen. So just sitting here in ICU waiting room now.
Jesus Christ man. Praying for you

Just talked to doc. They’re finishing with dressings and will have her back in ICU room in about an hour. Pump function is better than he expected. She’ll probably be out the rest of the night. Had to give her transfusions from the thinners and balloon pump she’s been on all day so she could get oxygenated blood to her organs. Took one artery from her leg and one from her chest. He said the “extra” one they were doing that was 70% blocked turned out to be worse than what the pictures from last week showed. So he was glad they did it.

I’m sure your mom is getting top notch care. How are you doing? My folks are in their 70s. This stuff rattles me vicariously. We’re all children in the presence and the absence of our parents. I’m sure I’ve butchered that, but no sentiment hits me harder.

Thanks for all the well wishes and good vibes. Just got home about 30 minutes ago. They’re gonna keep her sedated thru the night the ease her off it in the morning. It was a bit jarring when Papa Wease saw her when we got to go back. I had a good idea of what she’d look like, but he didn’t have a clue. His reaction rattled me a little. He’s staying there in the room with her and I’ll head back over for a little while in the morning.
