This album is legit.
1000% on Running. I don't get a lot of the criticism (aside from the compression/production). That glorious bridge; it's in that rarefied air of fast paced/punk-laced PJ songs that actually deliver

CMON NOW. Might be my favorite lyrics / single sung line on the album so far.
It's my favorite lyric on the album so far. Incredible delivery.

The guitar work on this album is inspiring. The interplay between them all is 10/10.
There's the dog. You can't fake that stuff. Confess with your mouth.

On a maybe related note - about to play this for my wife - see what she thinks

Running and Something Special were both songs that suffered considered in a vacumn. I'm loving them on this album more and more with each listen

Hold on - waiting for stevie just came on. Need a desktop headphones listen

Ok after a first listen DAAAAMN

Tons of energy, very rocking, very cool. Sounds like a band effort and i love that. Even in Something Special you can hear the band doing all sorts of different stuff.

Sounds like Vs meets Avocado meets Gigaton maybe??

I enjoyed Got to Give in the theater, but listening to it now with headphones just elevated it a lot. The bass that Jeff is playing is gorgeous. Couldn't hear that for shit yesterday.

I'll give Something Special another listen. I can't get over the lyrics and how out of place it feels with everything else, even if the melody is catchy. I don't hate it. But I don't really like it that much.

Cream of the crop:
Setting Sun
Waiting for Stevie
Upper Hand

Potential cream:
Won’t Tell
Got to Give
Wreckage
Scared of Fear
React, Respond

I like both of these:
Dark Matter
Running

Nice enough song:
Something Special

Beginning on setting sun sounds like maybe a Tom waits song before the guitars come in

This is great. I likened Dark Matter to REM’s Accelerate or U2’s All That You Can’t Leave Behind.
