So Alby the dog absolutely gives the album 5 stars. But he thinks they made a mistake with the name and it should have been either "Park Matters" as it's his favourite place, or at the least "Bark Matter".

Nice way to start my Thursday, gotta say.

Will wait for full version tomorrow. Nice to have wreckage today. Appreciate the live discussion and excitement.

Will the vinyl sound less brickwalled? any indication?

Oh wait, this actually leaked now? I guess I might as well join the group asking for a link and get an extra 24 hours of listening in.

I've listened to the iphone leak ten times and the new proper leak three times, over various parts of the week from sitting, running, driving... every time I finish I put it away for about a half hour, find myself thinking about it, then playing it again - particularly Won't Tell onwards. Backspacer, Lightning Bolt and Gigaton were not like that for me.

It's a really good record.

I know! Pretty sick. He said “Upper Hand” was the only solo that he wrote with a particular beginning-middle-end. I kinda wish he’d done that on WFS but that is a minor quibble.

Alright I’m ready for a link to a certain leaked record if someone would be so kind.

And if not…

“You will send me a PM”

(see what I did there?) ;)

Setting Sun and Waiting for Stevie are all-timers for me. There are a number of other songs on here that are 5 stars for me, but these two just feed my soul some serious comfort food.

Yeah those are the ones that are really staying with me. Certainly the most emotional/visceral reaction from them.

On a maybe related note - about to play this for my wife - see what she thinks
Update - the wife said that she REALLY likes Setting sun. No fisty-cuffs in the Rangi household tonight

Hot take: Scared of Fear and Dark Matter have the best solos on the album. They ride with the melody of the song better than the shreddy ones.

Just ignore daft's post a few above (although it was said with love!).

Dark Matter works so much better on the album versus a standalone song.
