High quality FLAC Apple Music in the good old Sennheisers starting now. Already much much better than the theater Atmos mix I first heard it in!

My open Sennheisers are pumping wifi highest quality Spotify for the first time and it sounds dramatically better than anything before. This is awesome. I'm having my cake and eating it too.darthvedder81 wrote:High quality FLAC Apple Music in the good old Sennheisers starting now. I like the way ed gets more distant at the end of the R/R chorus.

Won’t Tell just flew by. Have to get back to it for a solid impression.

I like the more instrumental second half from the breakdown and Coda more but the main bit doesn’t grab me yet. Would have liked it a few clicks faster, I’m sure they’ll rectify that live.Homeboyd wrote:Swifties gonna crash all the streaming sites lol. I'm kidding (sort of). As for the songs, I still haven't fully committed to Waiting for Stevie, it's a sound I recognize and it's great but for now I'm into the stuff that sounds a little fresher for them. At some point I will just give in. Also, it's easily the first song I'm sharing with my casual PJ friends.
While a Western guitar motif lost on the swings drum bass fusion, get your own thoughts into the subconscious often forgotten. "Pendulum" is a sweeping soul from the ballast.

Re: Dark Matter: Official Album Thread
The standard I've held them to over the years has admittedly been a bit ridiculous, at times, but, this record vaults over any reasonable expectation I could've had.
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Not even two songs in and I can already tell this is Jeff's biggest bass statement on a PJ album in...maybe ever? Certainly since Vs.

Scared of Fear has a ton of lyrics but they might be the best on the whole album...this song has gone from meh to fantastic in three days...

Upper Hand is easily the best song so far. Ed sounds incredible, the band perfect behind him.

You might not be wrong about like a quasi concept album.

Link to the Ed interview from today at time stamp 7:40 the interviewer states that she loves the album because it takes her on a journey. His response is long but at the 9:30 mark he specifically says the only trick to sequencing this record was “telling the story, if there is one”
So, he uses the word “story” in relation to the sequencing of the songs. That is fascinating to me! I am going to have to closely read the lyrics to see if there is a narrative.
SOF and Setting Sun both mention setting suns. So he is possibly connecting the first and last song by using the same imagery.
And of course I may just be reading way too far and am embarrassing myself.
