Dark Matter sounds like it's from a different album, but, I love the way Ed voice goes from centered in the verses to overhead-front of forehead in the choruses. Neat trick
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

I can picture 99 ed with blonde hair, an earing, and caverage behind him singing Gotta Give.

But instead we get '24 ed with pearl jam behind him delivering this amazing fucking gem.

Hey that was fun staying up with y'all and doing album commentary!

Fuck it I'm giving this 5 stars and saying it's the best Pearl Jam album since "Yield".

They made a record that I feel the majority of us will treasure with their very best.

I know it’s the first day of release, but this is a massive album that sounds incredible. I can’t wait to play in the car with the windows down, or walking with earbuds at the park, or chilling on the back patio on a summer night while the cicadas sing in the background.

Running is so needed in the context of the album really. I absolutely love that ending. I won’t skip this one.

All the talk of Upper Hand earlier made me give it another listen, and fuck me - this song is something else! I think previously it got lost somewhat in the experience of the new songs, but this could be a stand-out track

Did you just hear the entire thing for the first time, singles included?
I’ve heard the singles a few times each (3-4), and listened a bit once to a recording from a store (the one with quite a bit of talking).

There is absolutely no way Ed is gonna pull of the part in Got To Give immediately before and into the high note live.

Holy shit Setting Sun is so damn good...the guitar, the drums, Ed's tones and phrasing...the outro. It's a warm hug at the end of an emotional journey...love it.

It's hilarious that so many of us had the same experience, no less for a record that actually sounds great.
