The fret buzz on "Stumbeline" is all kinds of refreshing.

"We Only Come Out at Night" exists. That fact alone is marvel. :heartbeat:

I am saddened to learn of this. No matter, I'm now on to Adore, which I know you've never seen eye to eye with. If you go out of your way to ruin that buzz we'll have more than words.

I don't like "Adore" at all, but I love "We Only Come Out at Night." I love the playful vibe of some of those songs on CD2 of "Mellon Collie."

What about Tear and Blank Page? You don't miss having them on hand?

Pretty huge fan of "Adore" right here. My second-favorite SP album (behind "Siamese Dream").

I absolutely LOVE Adore. The last time I smoked up I listened to the entire album and was in a beautiful place. More recently, The Tale of Dusty and Pistol Pete came up on my random playlist in my car and it was really nice.

MCIS is still my favorite though, the reissue was really good. I think I remember the sound quality being better on my original CD. I know Billy takes care to not go overboard with mastering and the whole loudness war thing...but I definitely see a difference in how the bass sounds on my old CD...unless I'm just getting old.

I still need to pick up the reissues of Pisces Iscariot and The Aeroplane Flies High.

And, in my opinion, the 1979 single is the best one from TAFH.

I really like the idea of "Adore" but the songs just don't get the job done for me, for the most part. I'm a big fan of "To Sheila" and "For Martha," though, and think a few others are okay. I always think the coda of "Once Upon a Time" finds Billy singing "I went bowling" instead of "I went falling." I'm probably due to give it a listen soon.

I do really like the B-side "Czarina."

love Adore...love that moment of the band too, i began to listen to them around that time when they came for the first time to Argentina.

It is a very difficult album, but the last run of songs is amazing.

I find it their most underwhelming album by far.

I've never given Adore a decent listen - it wasn't what I was wanting from the Pumpkins after MCIS so I kinda let it slip by. Maybe I should go back in for another listen.

Speaking of Adore, is there news of what to expect for it's Deluxe Edition?

Is it crazy to say Here's To The Atom Bomb the Try Try Try b-side version was the last great Pumpkins song or at least the last one with the classic Pumpkins sound?

Damn. With all this thread activity in the last few days I thought we had some Adore info.

Ditto, hence the question.

And I agree: If nothing else, please put more of the Matt Cameron songs on the disc. A disc. Something.
