Trag, you beautiful bastard...

I know this was a pretty decent chunk of work, but, I hope you feel as though it was worth it...lf only to hear that isolated piano track on "Upper Hand."

How great is that?!?
We still make records to be listened to — not that everyone will listen to a record track one to twelve in a row or side A or Side B — but we still make 'em in case somebody does want to listen to it like that, that's how we make em…

Lol, yeah that's the reaction I had too.
You can hear it a couple of times on the record. 5:14-5:30, it comes through here and there.

Can hear it, but, to hear it so completely as a part was really fantastic

Yeah. It’s always neat to discover the full texture of the backing parts on a record.

This is the first I heard it. I couldn’t hear it before on any mix version. But maybe that’s just me going deaf.

I’ve been surprised to find a lot of simple acoustic guitars holding down the core melody of a song, usually panned dead center and buried under other tracks. This is classic studio songwriter stuff but I’m not sure if PJ has ever employed this approach.
It was great to hear that piano more isolated; I've always been a sucker for rockin' piano jams. Would love for PJ to dabble with that more. Piano could also work well on some existing songs like Sleeping By Myself, Parachutes, Unthought Known, 25 Minutes To Go, Parting Ways, etc...
